RJ Being A Big Boy

Averly Lodge Russell was baptised July 5, 2009

Just days shy of turning 6 months old, Averly was baptised at LaVergne United Methodist Church by Pastor Buddy Rhoyce (the same Pastor who baptised her big brother last June). The morning was perfect. The rain held off (it was in the forecast, but Great Grandma Lillian Lodge didn't want the baptism dress she made to get wet), and it was a little cool, which is another good thing because this is a winter dress (Alison wore this in February 1977 at 3 months old). Averly received blessings from every Church member. It was a beautiful service. Many, many, many people complimented the dress and knew it had to be hand made. I told everyone that Grandma Lillian Lodge made this dress - it was a very special day to say the least!!!
Thank you to every one for their blessings. I know your thoughts and prayers were with Averly and our family this day.

Goofing around on July 4th

July 4th was a busy day!!!
We played at home in the morning, went to Baylee Brewer's 2nd birthday party in the afternoon (will post pictures of this later), shopped at the Opry Land Mall, and watched our neighborhood light up with fireworks (before the rain came). It was a great day to celebrate our Country!!!
